It continues to influnece our culture every day. This does have its ups and downs though. Some of the negative effects of this are sterotypes, for example there is a sterotype that blacks are better than anyone at basketball, but if you look at the NBA there is white people. Some of the times when people are influenced they think that they need to take it wicked serious, like the players that they're influenced by. That can cause drama and maybe when they're playing their emotions can get in the way and have them not do as good during the game. Some positive effects are that if your influenced by a great player and you practice and try as hard as you can all the time, and take your time out of anything you can to become the player that influenced you, you'll become a great player. I know many people that have had that happen to them and they're great players in the sports that they play, and even off of the field or cour they're just a great person.
Overall sports has had a great influence and impact on my life. All throughout my life the people in my life have wanted to become the greatest sports players that they could be. For example my dad was an outstanding wrestler all throughout college. He was undefeated his senior year then sadly got a kidney infection and couldn't wrestle in sectionals or states. That was the last time he wrestled because he moved on and became a marine instead of going to college. Also my brother wanted to become a great wrestler, which he became, He ended up becoming the captain of Xaverain Wrestling during his Junior year. He worked all the time every season trying to become the best that he can be. He eventually quit the team because he wasn't happy with how things ended up going with the team. Personally I am very infulenced by my father and brother to become the best wrestler that I can be.
